Chocolate Factory is a chocolate-themed match-3 game. Form groups of 3 or more identical chocolates to clear them from the trays. Clear all the trays before the timer expires to beat the level.

How to Play Chocolate Factory

To select, left click with your mouse. On the welcome screen, select Play at the center to begin.

Use the keyboard to control the robotic arm. Press the up and down arrow keys to move the arm vertically on the right conveyor. Press the space bar to drop the chocolate.

The game is only playable on desktop devices.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Basic Rules

The game’s interface has two conveyors. The one on the left automatically dispenses a piece of chocolate at any random tray. The conveyor on the right holds the robotic arm you control. Move the robotic arm around and deposit the chocolates where you think they should go.

Your goal is to clear all the chocolate on the trays by forming continuous groups of 3 or more identical chocolate pieces in any set of trays. Only groups you form can be cleared. Those formed by the left conveyor do not count. You must clear off all the chocolate before the timer expires. If you run out of time or space, you fail the level. From there, you can either replay the level or quit. Quitting will clear your previous progress.

Levels & Scoring

The game has 15 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You cannot replay levels you’ve already beaten. Each time you reload the game, you’re given the option between starting from the beginning or resuming from the last level you’ve unlocked. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress.

You earn 5 points for every piece of chocolate you clear. You can earn between 5 and 25 points from groups you’ve made. Your score is cumulative across every level. You can save your score on the leaderboard upon finishing every level or after quitting.

Power Ups

The game provides you with 3 power ups, which appear next to the right conveyor.

• The left arrow destroys a horizontal row of chocolates.
• The vertical arrow destroys a vertical row of chocolates.
• The bomb destroys a single chocolate.

Each power up can only be used once per level.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Although the robotic arm moves by itself, don’t wait until it stops moving. Interrupt its animation by immediately pressing the up or down arrow keys.

Remove rows as quickly as you are able. The left conveyor could immediately throw things off.

Plan ahead. The game shows you the next piece of chocolate that you’ll be dropping. Choose where to place this long before you drop your current piece.
