Ice Cream Merge is frozen dessert-themed merging game developed by RavalMatic, the same developer behind Merge Cakes. Your goal is to form new forms of frozen dessert by merging two identical desserts together.

How to Play Ice Cream Merge

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the screen with your fingers.

The game begins with a tutorial if you’re playing for the first time. You can only see the tutorial again by clearing your browser’s cache; your browser automatically saves your game progress. Your goal is to create elaborate desserts by merging identical pairs of frozen desserts together. To merge, select a dessert, then drag and drop it to any nearby identical dessert anywhere on the grid. Keep merging desserts until you form the highest valued one. The highest-value frozen dessert can’t be merged.

You receive a new dessert every 10 seconds; this can be the dessert of the lowest value or a dessert that’s randomly generated. The randomly generated dessert in the special cooler can be anything, but will typically be of lover value. You have the opportunity to upgrade this dessert by watching an ad.

The game stops producing new frozen desserts when you run out of space. It will not produce a new one until you free up space by merging another pair of desserts. The game will gradually add more spaces as you play. In the unlikely event that you run out of space and possible pairs, the game will end.

The game generates idle income based on the number and value of the frozen desserts you have on hand. You can use the coins to buy frozen desserts instead of forming them.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The game generates a pair of mergeable frozen desserts every 20 seconds; you can speed up the process by pressing the ice box button on the bottom center of the screen. To speed up the process of merging, you can purchase new items from the store using your coins. Open the store screen by selecting the store button on the bottom left corner of the screen. Try not to get too dependent on buying desserts in the long run; they become pricier the more you buy them.

Accomplishing a set number of actions can trigger an achievement. Keep track of your achievements by selecting the achievements button to open the achievements screen. Every achievement you meet comes with a redeemable reward of coins. Every achievement in-game increases in value up to three times.

The frozen desserts that you buy offer both experience and coins. Opening the ice boxes the desserts come from generates the same amount of experience points you get from merging pre-existing desserts. At the start of the game, you can buy low-value desserts to unlock achievements. Buy pricier desserts to generate more income.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

While low-value desserts, which are automatically generated after a short time, are essential in the early game, they become more obstructive as the game progresses. Over time, they may quickly use up space that could be used for higher-value desserts. Incidentally, the way to deal with them is to use up all the spaces to prevent more of them from being generated. Once that’s done, merge as many of them as you can.

If you find the game slowing down and you’re unable to buy anything, consider quitting for awhile and coming back. Once you come back, you will receive the amount of coins you’ve earned in that span of time. Often, you’ll receive a huge payout by leaving the game overnight. You can also earn a much higher payout just by leaving the game window active on your browser while you do something else. Before leaving the game, we recommend merging as many frozen desserts as you can to maximize your passive income.

When buying the frozen desserts from the store, it pays to buy the most expensive one you can afford. But this isn’t always the case. As a rule, if a frozen dessert costs more than double of the one above it, it’s better to buy the cheaper of the two.
