How to Play Nom Nom Yum

Press the yellow play button in the lower center of the screen to bring up the level select screen. Tap on a level number on the level select screen to start the game.

Hold in the left click button and drag your mouse across the screen to simulate a pair of virtual scissors which can cut ropes.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Cut the ropes in the correct order to have the sushi go through up to 3 stars on each stage to earn a high rating.

Pop bubbles just like you cut ropes. If a piece of sushi is in a bubble it will float offstage unless the sushi is tied to an anchoring string below, or you pop the bubble before it leaves.

The game features 25 stages which are unlocked sequentially.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

If you are struggling to get all 3 stars on a particular stage keep playing through the rest of the game and then come back to that stage.

The order you cut ropes in and when you time popping bubbles impacts the horizontal and vertical momentum the sushi has.

If you are throwing the sushi toward the alien monster from an off centered position be sure it has momentum going toward the alien when you cut the rope.

There are some physics puzzle aspects to the game which can help children understand momentum and forces.
