Watermelon Sokoban is a retro-themed object pushing game inspired by the original Sokoban. Your task is to move the watermelons to the lit markers on the floor by pushing them in the right direction. Push all the watermelons in place in the correct order to solve each level.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The game’s objective is for you to push all the watermelons in the maze onto the lit up targets on the floor. Finish pushing all 3 watermelons into place before the 3-minute timer expires. You can retry any level you failed as many times as you want.

You can only push the watermelons; you will not be able to push a watermelon in a specific direction if it is obstructed in any way. If a watermelon is stuck in a corner, it cannot be moved. If you ever get stuck, select the reset button on the top right corner to restart the level.

The game has 42 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress. Once you finish a level, you can load the next one by pressing the arrows on the win screen. You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Due to the way the game’s rules work, the direct or most obvious approach isn’t always the correct one. Often, you must keep corridors open, which means that you must push watermelons in a specific order to solve the level. Too often, you must choose a roundabout path rather than a direct one to push the watermelons in the correct spot and to avoid them getting stuck in corners and other suboptimal locations.

The game offers infinite retries, so trial and error are one of your best allies in solving particularly perplexing levels.
