Monkey Bubble Shooter is a cute animal-themed bubble shooting game. Help the monkey retrieve the bananas trapped in bubbles by forming and clearing groups of 3 or more identically colored bubbles around them.

How to Play Monkey Bubble Shooter

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the screen with your fingers. Select the play button on the welcome screen to bring up the level selection screen. To begin, select on any of the level numbers. Your web browser automatically saves your game progress and level ratings.

Select and drag to aim, then release to launch the bubble. To clear bubbles, you must form groups of 3 or more identical bubbles. The bananas will fall if the bubbles containing them do. Keep shooting and clearing bubbles until you’ve freed all the bananas trapped in the bubble stack.

Unlike other bubble shooting games, the stack does not move down at a constant rate. The stack will only move if you’ve cleared enough bubbles on the lower rows. It will move up if you put in more bubbles. To find all the bananas in a level, you must bring the stack down. Like in other bubble shooters, any bubble attached solely to a group you clear will also be cleared.

You only have a limited number of bubbles to shoot. You will fail the level if you run out of bubbles to shoot.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The game allows you to keep track of the bubbles. The bubble you’ll be shooting appears on the monkey at the bottom center, while the next bubble to shoot appears on the stump to the left of the monkey. The remaining number of balls you can shoot appear on the sign on the bottom left corner. Press the arrow button on the stump to switch between balls; this becomes vital in later levels where the bubble you get isn’t always the best one to shoot.

There are a number of different types of bubbles in this game:

• Regular bubbles are removed by color. Form groups of 3 or more to pop them.
• Clear bubbles cannot be remove the regular way; to remove them, pop a group of bubbles beside them. This will turn these bubbles into regular bubbles of the color you just popped.
• Log bubbles cannot be popped at all. They can only be removed by taking out the bubbles connecting them to the rest of the stack.
• Minus (-) bubbles are a penalty shot. You lose 3 shots for every one of these you pop. You can remove them without penalty by taking out the bubbles they’re connected to.
• Plus (+) bubbles give you 3 extra shots for every one of them you pop.
• Lightning bolt bubbles pop an entire row when you clear them; anything attached to that row drops.
• Skull bubbles are another penalty bubble. Popping them is an instant game over.
• Star bubbles pop every bubble onscreen that is the same color as the one you hit it with.

The game has 23 levels and an infinite mode. The levels are unlocked in sequence; you can replay any of the levels that you’ve already unlocked. Your web browser automatically saves both your high score and your best star rating for each level. Replay levels to improve both. The first 23 levels have a definite end, while the 24th level is endless.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

See if you can find bubbles attached only through a single group and aim for it. By removing that group, you automatically remove any of the bubbles attached to it while conserving the number of shots you make. Be sure to avoid the skull and minus bubbles whenever you can.

Earning points is the key to getting a good star rating. You earn 10 points for every bubble you pop. On top of that, you receive bonus points for clearing multiple groups of bubbles at once. You also receive a bonus for every remaining shot you don’t use at the end of the game. Your goal is to end each level with a 3-star rating. You can check your star rating progress using the meter on the top right corner of the screen.
