Farm Island Game Background

Farm Island is a puzzle game where your goal is to cover the soil tiles on the field with crops. Move the seed box one space at a time to plant each section. You must cover all of the tiles with crops before the seed box’s number drops to zero.

How to Play Farm Island

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button at the center of the welcome screen to open the level selection screen. Select a level to begin.

Select a box and drag them out to move them around the field. Unlike other sliding-type puzzle games, you can move the boxes one at a time.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Move the boxes in a path that allows you to cover all the soil tiles with crops, leaving only one space for the box itself. Each box has a number indicating how many tiles it can plant. You must move it in such a way that it covers the appropriate number of tiles. You can also move the box back to the last space it was previously in if you want to replant the seeds elsewhere.

Levels can have multiple boxes. To beat the level, you must use the available boxes to completely cover the field with crops.

The game has 25 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

In most cases, it makes sense to start with the seed box that has the lower number on it. These have fewer available move options so it pays to get them out of the way as soon as you can.

Fill as many spaces as you can in a single, continuous path. Once a field has been planted, you cannot move a box over it. Focus on moving a box in one specific area of the field.

Plan your paths so that you don’t leave a lot of spaces that can only be accessed from one direction. Try to fill both the perimeter and any adjacent accessible squares early on.

Should you find yourself making egregious planning mistakes, consider backtracking. If, for instance, you make a lot of mistakes with one seed box, try again with another box and come back to it later.
