Watermelon Push Game Review
Watermelon Push Game Background
Watermelon Push is a spatial logic game where you must fill in the grid provided with watermelons deployed from squares to the side. Watermelons will hop over spaces already occupied by other watermelons, allowing you to fill rows and columns. Deploy the boxes in the right sequence to fill in each level.
How to Play Watermelon Push
To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select the play button at the center of the welcome screen to open the level selection screen.
Select an orange square to deploy the watermelons. The watermelons will always be deployed in the direction the arrow on the square is pointing at.
Basic Gameplay Advice
Fill in the spaces with watermelons by deploying them from the squares near the edges of the grid. Each square can deploy only the number of watermelons indicated on them. When watermelons are deployed, they move in only one direction. They will also skip any spaces that already have a watermelon, instead settling on the next nearest space in the same direction. A watermelon risks falling off the grid if all the spaces in that direction already have watermelons on them.
To fill all the spaces, you must deploy the watermelons in the correct order. If you send a watermelon off-grid or fail to fill up all the spaces.
If you make a mistake, select the reset button on the top right corner to start again.
The game has 50 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten. Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
Pay attention to the number of watermelons in each of the boxes and compare them to the number of boxes they need to fill. If the number is insufficient (and in later levels, it often will be), compare these with the number of watermelons coming from a different direction. This way, you’ll be able to chart out the order which you need to deploy the watermelons in each box.
If the number of watermelons in a row or column exactly match the number in the adjacent box then you must use the adjacent box before other plays, as you do not have any extra watermelons.
If there is an empty box way out of the way it typically indicates you will need to use the push box across from it later in play after watermelons have filled in some of the boxes in between.
