How to Play Pop The Sugar

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. To begin, select the play button on the welcome screen.

Select the sugar cubes that appear to clear them from the screen. If cubes have sprinkles or other objects above them, select them multiple times (between 1 and 3 times to clear what’s on top of the cube, and once more to clear the cube itself).

Basic Gameplay Advice

Basic rules

Select the white and brown sugar cubes that appear onscreen as quickly as you can. When you’ve cleared all the cubes onscreen, new ones appear. Keep selecting cubes of sugar until the timer on the top left corner expires. You start the clock with 30 seconds and receive an extra 10 seconds every so often.

Later in the game, cubes get covered in other garnishes. You must select the cubes a set number of times to remove the garnish above them before getting a chance to remove them yourself. The amount of clicks or taps you need to clear the garnish varies. A single selection is enough for sprinkles while 2 are needed for strawberries and 3 for frosting.

Scoring

You earn 1 point for every sugar cube you selected. The sugar cubes with garnishes are worth more points depending on how many extra clicks or taps it took to clear them. The game automatically saves your best score; you can compare your final and best scores on the game over screen.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Prioritize the clear cubes before clearing the garnished ones. They tend to be more numerous (especially in the early game) and take less time to clear.
