Fruit Squares is a tile breaking game themed after fruits. Connect 2 or more identical fruit squares to clear them from the grid. Clear the target number of fruit squares to beat each level.

How to Play Fruit Squares

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select Play at the center of the welcome screen to begin.

Form a group of squares by selecting one square and dragging horizontally or vertically to any adjacent identical square. To clear them, release your selection.

Basic Gameplay Advice

To collect the fruit squares, form a horizontal or vertical line to connect them together. You can only connect identical fruits that are adjacent to one another. Collect the target number of fruit squares shown on the right side of the screen to finish the level. As you clear fruit squares, new ones fall in to fill in the space left behind.

You will fail the level if you run out of moves or cannot make any more groups onscreen.

The game has 40 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. Each time you reload the game, you begin at the last level you’ve unlocked. You cannot replay any of the levels once you finish them.

Each fruit square you clear is worth 10 points; you earn a minimum of 20 points for each group you clear. Every remaining move is worth 500 bonus points.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The fruit squares in each level, especially in the earlier levels are often arranged in an orderly manner. With the right set of moves in the proper order, you can meet or surpass the target number of fruits for the level between 3-4 moves.

The key to accomplishing this is to first understand how the arrangement will change once new fruits fall in. Removing the fruits below them will disrupt patterns, so it’s important that you understand how they might fall in before removing anything. Ideally, you should start from the top, then work your way down.

Try to visualize how you can connect the fruits before selecting. By having a clear pattern to follow, you can connect as many of them as possible in a single go.
