Whack The Cost Game Review

Whack The Cost Game Background

Whack The Cost is a simple tapping game inspired by the arcade classic Whack-A-Mole. Hit the unnecessary costs that emerge from the machine to save money while avoiding the bags of money. Save as much money as you can within the 30-second timer.

How to Play Whack The Cost

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select Play near the center of the welcome screen to begin.

Select the unnecessary costs to whack them while ignoring the sources of earnings. Whack as many unnecessary costs as you can until the timer expires.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Your goal is to earn as much money as possible by whacking at common sources of unnecessary costs while avoiding the bags of money. Costs may take several whacks to be completely destroyed.

You have until the timer expires to whack as many costs as possible. Whacking money bags, however, reduces your current time by 3 seconds.

Behind the Costs

The costs shown in this game represent some of the common business mistakes committed by entrepreneurs who feel a little too confident with their hard-earned money. They range from premature decisions that should’ve been thought out more to frivolous, selfish expenses. The costs in this game are as follows:

  • Bad Accounting: Mistakes in the accounting process may muddle your ability to see where your money is going. This can lead you to taking in more expenses than you need or overestimating your profits.
  • Unnecessary Debt: Entrepreneurs sometimes need loans to help expand their businesses, especially when customer demand is exceeding their current capacity. Taking on debt adds an expense, and a business can quickly get in trouble if it can’t make enough to pay it off.
  • Overhiring: A business flourishes when they have the right number of employees doing their jobs well. Business owners should hire more employees only when their current work teams need the extra hands.
  • Lavish Perks: We all want to work in a cushy workplace, and robust benefits and the occasional perk is always good for everyone’s productivity. Spending too much on employee or management perks can hobble a business with too many expenditures.
  • Premature Scaling: It is the goal of many business owners to expand their businesses eventually, but it must be justified in some way. Newer or bigger locations come with their own expenses. Expanding too much, too soon can swamp the business with too many expenses at once.
  • Unjustified R&D: Every business wants to have the next big thing. But research and development can be costly. If the project has no revenue-making applications, it’s just money down the drain.
  • Private Jet: Some executives like to flex by having a private company plane on the ready to take them places. Unless the higher ups do a lot of business travel, this is seldom a justifiable cost.
  • Steak Dinner: While treating ourselves with sumptuous dinners is a good thing to do on occasion, it’s often better to do so on your own expense instead of a businesses.

Business owners owe it to themselves, their partners, employees, and customers to manage their expenses well. Their money should be focused on building up and improving their businesses.
