Jelly Escape is an running escape room puzzle game. Your goal is to help the moving jelly avoid all obstacles as it collects all the stars and makes its way toward the exit door.

How to Play Jelly Escape

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the screen with your fingers. On the loading screen, select the arrow at the center to bring up the welcome screen. On the welcome screen, select the arrow at the center to begin. Choose a level from the level selection screen to begin.

The block of jelly automatically moves by itself (often from right to left). Select anywhere on the screen to have the mouse change the surface it travels on. The jelly block will continue to move in a single direction until it hits a corner. If you have it switch surfaces after hitting a corner, it will move in the opposite direction.

Your web browser automatically saves your game progress. To clear your previous progress, select the trash button at the bottom center of the welcome screen.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Your primary goal is to bring the block of jelly to the exit door. Have the jelly block change surfaces to avoid spikes. Stars are your secondary objective. The game has 63 collectible stars distributed across each level. Collect stars by changing course at the right time. If you failed to collect all the stars in a level, you have the option to replay the level on the win screen.

While most platforms in a level are stable, others are not. These are colored blue and get cracks on them when the jelly travels on them. Within a couple of seconds after the jelly touches them, they will wear out and disappear.

Avoid spikes at all cost by moving to a different surface before approaching them. In later levels, you must also contend with a pair of electrodes that zap out electricity in predictable intervals. Get past them while they’re not zapping. If your jelly block touches either a spike or an active pair of electrodes, it explodes.

You automatically restart a level after dying. You can restart a level infinite times.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Most of the stars can’t be taken through a direct route from the jelly’s starting point to the door. To collect them all, you must often find a route that avoids the door as much as possible. Trial and error is the best way to find the right route that gets all the stars in the level.

The best way to avoid electrodes is by waiting them out. Whenever possible, trap the jelly in the corner and wait for the electrodes to fire, then have it move to the next surface while the electrodes are off again.

The game test’s a player’s reaction time and planning skills. Players must dodge the To complete each level, players must be able to devise a path that allows them to collect all the stars without passing through the door until the very end.
