Choco Loco Game Background

Choco Loco is a chocolate-themed block removal game inspired by Tetris. Cut out shapes from the large block of chocolate based on the the shapes found at the bottom of the screen.

How to Play Choco Loco

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the loading screen, select the play button to bring up the welcome screen. On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.

To cut out a shape, select one piece of chocolate then drag around to the next piece until the desired shape is complete. The shapes you need to carve out of the chocolate block appear at the bottom center of the screen.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Form the shape by connecting pieces together. Each time you form a shape on the chocolate block, the pieces are removed. They aren’t replaced until the entire row of pieces have been cut from the block.

Slowly but surely the chocolate block disappears. As you cut more pieces the likelihood that another shape can’t be cut with the remaining pieces increases unless you trigger the appearance of more pieces.

The game keeps going until no more chocolate blocks can be cut out. When the shape that appears at the bottom center can’t be made on the remaining block of chocolate, the game ends.

You earn 1 point for every piece removed from the block. Your web browser automatically saves your best score. Your current score appears on the top left corner while your best score appears on the game over screen.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The game shows you both the current piece (at the bottom center) and the next one (at the bottom right) Plan each of your moves before you clear your first group of pieces to ensure efficient removal.

The key to lasting long in this game is clearing rows. New rows allow you to cut a larger variety of shapes. Plan your moves so that you’ll eventually clear an entire row (or, if you’re efficient, a set of rows). Repeat the process as often as you can.

This game encourages spatial problem solving and strategic thinking. Players must make the correct moves not only to find and remove the shapes but also to encourage the replenishment of the chocolate block so new shapes can still be made.
