French Suika Game Review
French Suika Game Background
French Suika Game is a food-themed merging game inspired by the original Suika Game. Drop French dishes down the shaft and merge identical pairs of dishes together to form dishes of a larger value. Keep merging until you form the largest available dish.
How to Play French Suika Game
To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select anywhere on the welcome screen to get started. Doing so will drop the first dish.
Select anywhere to drop the dish in that direction. Drop identical dishes next to one another to merge them. Keep merging until you form the largest possible dish. The game continues after you create the largest dish; as your stack of dishes rises, a dashed line appears on the top of the shaft. The game ends when the stack goes past this line.
You earn points based on the value of the dishes you merge. The smallest dishes, when merged, are worth 1 point. The second smallest dishes are worth 2 points, and so on.
Basic Gameplay Advice
The game shows you both the current and next dishes. The current dish appears at the top center and the next one on the top right corner. This gives you ample room for forward planning. Decide on a location for each dish before dropping the current one.
Try to keep the dishes organized. Keep the smaller dishes apart from the bigger ones to keep them from getting in the way. Small dishes that end up between the bigger ones not only prevent mergers from happening but also creates large voids that make the stack taller than it needs to be.
The dishes move around after you drop them. We usually recommend waiting for the other dishes to stop before dropping the next one to ensure that the new dish drops exactly where you intend it to go. You can also drop dishes to push the others; this can help nudge a pair of dishes close enough to merge.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
Stay organized. To make merging simple, we recommend a stair-step arrangement with smaller dishes on one end and bigger dishes in another. This can help you build up larger dishes easily, especially around the early game. Try to keep the arrangement around for as long as possible.
The game only generates the first few lower-value dishes. The smallest of these can quickly become a nuisance if you can’t merge them in some way. If you can’t find a place for them, keep them away from the larger dishes by tossing them to one side.
Take all the time you need before dropping any of the dishes. The game is not timed and you receive no score bonus from merging the dishes quickly. Plan each move with care.
Educational Aspects
This game rewards players for forward thinking and encourages patience and careful planning. It also features an assortment of French dishes, though it does not label them.
Player Age Recommendations
This game is suited for players school-aged and above. We recommend this for fans of the original Suika Game.
