Thai Suika Game Review
Thai Suika Game Background
Thai Suika Game is a food-themed merging game inspired by the original Suika Game. Drop and merge pairs of identical Thai dishes to form dishes of a greater value. Keep dropping and merging dishes together until they form the largest possible dish.
How to Play Thai Suika Game
To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select anywhere on the welcome screen to begin. This will drop the first dish down the shaft.
Select anywhere on the shaft to drop dishes there. Drop identical dishes next to one another to merge them. Keep dropping and merging dishes until you form the largest possible dish. The game continues long after forming the largest dish.
As your stack of dishes reaches the top of the screen, a dashed line appears. If the dishes go past this line, it’s game over.
You earn points based on the value of the dishes merged. The smallest dishes, for instance, are worth 1 point. The value increases with the size of the dishes. Your web browser automatically saves your best score; it appears above the game’s title at the center of the welcome screen.
Basic Gameplay Advice
Forward planning is a key part of the game. The game allows you to see both your current dish (at the top center) and the next one (on the top right corner). Make sure to have a spot for both dishes before you drop the first one.
Make sure that the dishes are organized well. Place the smaller ones away from the bigger ones so they don’t keep them from merging. Small dishes in the way of bigger ones also foster the creation of voids; these open spaces make the stack taller than it needs to be, bringing you much closer to a premature game over.
Dishes move after you drop them. Dropping a new dish prematurely can lead to the other dishes below moving out of place. We recommend waiting for everything to stop moving before dropping the next dish.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
An organized arrangement is the key to efficient merging. We recommend a stair-step style merging pattern with smaller dishes on one side and bigger ones on the other.
The game generates only the first few lower-valued dishes. If you cannot keep an orderly arrangement, consider tossing the smaller-valued pieces to the side to keep them from coming in between the bigger dishes.
This is an untimed game. Take all the time you need before dropping any of the pieces. You don’t get a bonus for working quickly.
Educational Aspects
This game encourages players to be patient and methodical. Players will find that carefully planning each of their moves reaps more rewards in the long run than merely haphazardly dropping food items. The game also features various dishes from Thai cuisine, though it does not label them.
