Fruits 2048 Game Background

Fruits 2048 is a sliding tile-merging game. Move the tiles around a 4 x 4 grid to generate new tiles and merge identical ones. Keep merging tiles until you form the 2048 tile and beyond.

How to Play Fruits 2048

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select Play at the bottom center to begin.

The tiles move in unison unless they are on the edge. Each move you make generates one more tile at the edge you moved away from. For instance, if you move the tiles to the left, a tile appears on any of the tiles immediately to the right of the leftmost column. Keep merging the tiles until you completely fill up the grid.

Tiles that hit identical ones merge to form a tile of greater value. The value of each merged tile is the sum of the ones that formed it. A pair of tiles valued at 2 merge into a tile valued at 4, and so on.

Your score is based on the value of each tile merged. For instance, merging tiles valued at 2 gives you 4 points. Your web browser automatically saves your best score. Your latest and best scores appear on the game over screen.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

We recommend moving in a single set of directions for much of the game. Choose a corner to form the biggest tile and focus all your movement there. We recommend the bottom left corner for this purpose. In this instance, you should focus on moving the tiles toward that corner (down and to the left); move the tiles up only when you need to and only when you’re sure that the biggest tile won’t move.

This game encourages players to think strategically about their actions. Players should focus mostly on finding the appropriate set of moves to merge the fruits without causing disarray.

Because the game does not have a time limit, it also encourages players to take things slow.
