Halloween Grabbers is a trick-or-treating themed Mahjong Connect game that plays around with the formula. You must remove pairs of identical tiles that have at least one side that be grabbed from the edge of the screen without obstruction. Remove all the tiles on the board before the timer expires to beat each level.

How to Play Halloween Grabbers

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select Play on the upper right side of the welcome screen to begin.

Select one free tile, then select another identical tile to remove them. Free tiles can be reached from at least one side from the edge of the screen. Blocked tiles cannot be selected for removal.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Select pairs of candy tiles to remove them from the board. The caveat is that you must remove the pairs from the sides; no tile must be blocking any of the sides for you to grab them. Thus, you must work from the outside in, clearing tiles so you can free up more tiles to grab later. Grab and clear all the tiles before the timer on the lower right corner expires.

If you run out of time, you will fail the level. From here, you can either replay the level or quit. Quitting will clear your previous level progress and allow you to save your score to the leaderboard.

The game has 40 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You cannot replay a level you’ve already beaten. Each time you reload the game, you can either play from the first level or resume from the last level you’ve unlocked. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress.

You earn 100 points for every pair of tiles you clear. In addition, you also receive a combo multiplier each time you clear at least two identical pairs consecutively. Removing two consecutive identical pairs earns you a 2x multiplier, and so on. You also earn 92 points for every second remaining on the timer.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Take advantage of the score bonus granted by the combo by clearing identical pairs of the same type in rapid succession. As much as possible, target groups of identical tiles that are already free and remove them first. If you can, don’t remove a set of tiles until another set consisting of the same tiles can also be removed shortly after it.
