Easter Mahjong Blocks is a simple Mahjong Solitaire game game themed after Easter. Find and match pairs of identically patterned free tiles of various sizes to clear them from the stack. Beat each level by clearing the entire stack before the timer expires.

How to Play Easter Mahjong Blocks

Select by left clicking with your mouse or tapping on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.

To clear a pair of tiles, select a free tile, then select one with an identical pattern somewhere in the stack. The tiles in a pair can be of any size. Free tiles have no tile above them and no tile beside them on at least one horizontal side. Free tiles have a pale yellow background, while non-free tiles have a gray background.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Find and match pairs of tiles with identical patterns to remove them from the stack. Remove the entire stack before the timer expires to beat the level. If you run out of time, you will fail the level; you can either replay the level or quit. Quitting will clear your level progress and give you the option to save your final score.

The game has 10 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You cannot replay levels you’ve previously beaten. Each time you reload the game, you can either start from the first level again or resume from the latest level you’ve unlocked. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress.

Your score is cumulative across every level you play. Each pair of tiles you clear is worth 200 points. You also receive 10 extra points for every second left in the timer. You can save your final score to the leaderboard by finishing the game or by quitting after failing a level. View the leaderboard by selecting High Scores on the welcome screen.

The game provides two assistance options, which appears buttons on the lower right side of the game screen. These can be used as many times as needed but cost you points. Select the question mark button to use a hint. This costs 200 points and will highlight any valid pair found on the stack. Select the double arrow button to manually shuffle the stack. This will rearrange every tile onscreen for 500 points.

The game will also automatically shuffle every tile onscreen for free if you run out of moves.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The tiles come in different shapes and sizes; it can be difficult to gauge if they’re free. Use the color to clarify the status of the tile.

Start off as you would with any other Mahjong Solitaire game. Clear out the tiles on the edge and the taller parts of the stack to open up more tile for matching. Prioritize freeing up and clearing the larger tiles onscreen to see what’s beneath them.

Instead of paying for manual shuffles, wait until you run out of possible combinations so that the game shuffles the stack for free.
