Food Grinder Game Background

Food Grinder is a simple hazard evasion game. Move the food item up and down the platform to avoid the oncoming saw blades. Collect coins and gems and keep moving for as long as possible.

How to Play Food Grinder

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.

On a desktop, press the up arrow key to jump up and press the down arrow key to move down. On a touchscreen device, tap on the down arrow on the bottom left corner to move down and on the up arrow on the bottom right corner to move up.

The food item automatically moves to the left and to the right by itself. Avoid the buzz saws by hopping up or down at the right time.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The game helpfully alerts you of the presence of the oncoming blades and the direction they’ll come from using triangular warning signs. Take heed of them and move away once they appear. If the blades catch up with you, it’s game over.

Your goal is to keep collecting as many coins and gems as you can. Each gem you collect is worth 1 point. Your web browser automatically saves your best score. Your best score appears below your latest score on the game over screen.

To play again, select the reset button on the game over screen.

The coins you collect, meanwhile, can be used to unlock new food items. There are 9 food items to unlock overall. The number of coins you’ve collected appear on the top left corner of the welcome screen.

You can choose between 5 different backgrounds. If you don’t choose, the background will be selected for you.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Pay close attention to where the oncoming blades will arrive. Move away from a platform when a warning sign or two appears. Wait until the blades pass before hopping back onto the platform. Don’t be tempted by the presence of gems or coins; they’ll still be there once the blades leave.
