Candy Connect 2 Game Background

Candy Connect 2 is a Mahjong Connect game themed after candy. Connect each of the candy tiles to another identical one to remove them from the stack. The catch is that tiles can only be cleared if the path connecting them has no more than two 90-degree angles. Clear out the entire stack within the time provided to beat each level. Earn more points by clearing the tiles in rapid succession.

How to Play Candy Connect 2

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select Play below the game’s title at the center to begin.

Select one candy tile, then select another of the same shape and color from a valid location to clear them. The tiles will move toward each other before disappearing entirely.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Basic Rules

Your goal is to clear the entire stack before the timer runs out. Match identical tiles to clear them. You can only match tiles that have a clear path between them. These are paths that have no more than two 90-degree bends. Adjacent tiles can also be matched.

Unlike most games of its type, you have no way of manually receiving help. You do, however, get two automatic forms of assistance. When you fail to clear a pair for a few seconds, the game will automatically highlight any valid pair on the stack. Likewise, if you run out of valid pairs, the game will shuffle all the tiles’ positions automatically.

If you run out of time, you will fail the level. You have the option of replaying the level or quitting. Quitting will clear your previous progress and give you the option to save your current score on the leaderboard.

Levels & Scoring

The game has 20 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You cannot replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten. Each time you reload the game, you have the option to start a new session or resuming your progress from the last level you’ve unlocked. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress.

Your scoring throughout every level is cumulative. Each pair of tiles you clear adds 50 points to your score. You also receive an extra 30 points for every second remaining on the timer. Like in the predecessor game, you also get a combo bonus from clearing each lane in rapid succession. The number of points you receive increases the longer the chain is; however, if you wait too long to make another match, the chain will reset.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The key to building up a good score in this game is to create long combo chains. Extend your combo chains by finding as many pairs you can clear as possible. Meanwhile, you can buy yourself even more time by matching pairs that are further apart; the combo remains active for as long as the tiles haven’t linked.

Judge with care if you think you did well in a level. Because there is no way to play the previous levels, you can only replay the level by refreshing your browser.
