Mr Apple Adventures is a platformer game where you play as an old man hungry for apples. Move through each level and collect as many apples and coins as you can. Avoid hitting spikes and monsters and jump over bottomless pits.

How to Play Mr Apple Adventures

On the loading screen, left click or tap anywhere to bring up the welcome screen. Left click or tap on the play button at the center to open the level selection screen. Choose a level number to begin.

You take control of the title character, Mr. Apple. On a desktop keyboard, press the left and right arrows to walk and the up arrow to jump. Press the up arrow mid-jump to double jump. The controls are similar for touchscreen devices. Tap on the left and right buttons on the bottom left corner to walk and tap the up arrow button on the bottom right corner to jump. Tap on the up arrow twice to double jump.

Finish the level by reaching the sign at the end.

Your web browser saves your game data automatically. To clear your game data, select Hold Here to Reset All Your Progress at the bottom center of the loading screen.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Guide Mr. Apple through the level and collect as many coins and apples as you can. You don’t have any lives in this game, so anything that can harm Mr. Apple is an instant game over. Whenever that happens, you must start the level from the beginning. Unlike in other platform games, you cannot stomp any of the monsters in this game. You can only hop over them.

Pick up keys to open treasure chests. Treasure chests are often encountered before the keys, so you’ll need to backtrack to open them. Chests have inside them both apples and coins.

If you encounter a cliff face you can’t jump over, try to look for a trampoline bumper or a barrel. Trampoline bumpers boost your jump height and are often the only way you can clear a wide, deep chasm. Meanwhile, you can push barrels next to cliffs and use them as platforms to jump up from.

The game has 8 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten. You earn a star rating based on how well you performed in the level. Level performance is based on how many stars and apples you’ve collected.

Earn points by collecting items. Apples are worth 5 points while coins are worth 20 points. The number of collectibles on a level is shown on the top row. Each time you fail a level, all the points you’ve earned until that point are cleared, leaving only the points you earned from the previous levels you’ve completed.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Backtracking is a big part of this game. In general, the game goes left to right, but have paths that go in the opposite direction. Besides looking for the key to open the chests, you must also be on the lookout for platforms that seem to redirect you backward. Explore the level thoroughly before walking toward the sign at the end.

Some chasms can only be crossed by jumping onto a trampoline bumper on the bottom, then jumping again. To make this jump, jump onto the bumper and let it do the jump for you. At the top of the jump, move to the desired direction (usually to the right), then jump.

Time your moves carefully when confronting monsters. It’s often best to jump over them as they approach you so they move away from where you land.

As a platformer, the game hones hand-eye coordination. Players are challenged to make split-second moves to get past obstacles and avoid danger. The game also rewards players for backtracking and exploring, encouraging the behavior of leaving no stone unturned when searching and collecting.
