Happy Snake is a variation on the original Snake formula. The game is divided into levels, wherein you must guide the snake to the food items. Eat all the food items generated to beat the level. Besides this, the game also has an arcade mode that plays much like the classic mobile game.

It has a sequel, Happy Snake 2.

How to Play Happy Snake

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin Levels Mode or select Arcade Mode to play that mode instead.

The snake automatically moves by itself. To change the direction of its movement, select the arrow button on the bottom center of the screen. The snake will move either vertically (up or down) or horizontally (left or right) depending on the orientation of the arrow button. Which way the snake moves depends on which side of the arrow button you select; for instance, if you select the lower part of the arrow button while it’s oriented vertically, you will move down.

Guide the snake toward the fruits to eat them. Each time the snake consumes fruits, it gets longer.

Like in almost all Snake games, you cannot let the snake touch its own body. Likewise, you must not hit any of the walls, a hard rule similar to the oldest versions of the original game. If the snake hits any of these, it’s game over.

Basic Gameplay Advice (Levels Mode)

Your goal in Levels Mode is to collect all the food items that the game generates. Guide the snake toward the food to consume it. Repeat the process until the level concludes. The fruits you must consume to finish the level appear on the top left corner of the screen. The fruit generated by the level is divided into sequences. It between sequences, you must collect coins.

In later levels, hazards start to appear. Avoid them as best you can. If you hit a hazard, you fail the level.

Once the level is finished, select the play button to proceed to the next level or select the reset button to play the level again.

Basic Gameplay Advice (Arcade Mode)

The game plays much like a standard Snake game. Move the snake around the level and eat as many fruits as you can. If you hit the walls, the snake’s body, or any hazard, the game ends. Once the game ends, it automatically restarts.

Two fruits appear in the level at any given time. Eat one and another appears in its place.

The level toggles between a blank level and a level with a singular central hazard each time you start it.
