How to Play Bill The Bowman

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select the play button below the game’s title near the center of the welcome screen to begin.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Aim and shoot arrows at the fruit atop the person’s head. Use the pale gray arc that appears onscreen to track the path of the arrow. Try to hit the fruit at its center to gain a generous score bonus. You score no points if you miss. Avoid overshooting or, for that matter, hitting the people below the fruit. Ouch. Shoot as many fruits off people’s heads as you can.

In later levels, the people start standing on rock platforms. Early on, these platforms are stationary, while later ones move up and down.

You gain a fire arrow streak each time you shoot 2 or more fruits in a row. Once the streak begins, your arrows are set aflame. The streak resets when you miss. he indicator on the top row helps you keep track of your streak.

A streak of 5 successful shots will grant you an extra arrow, which not only grants you an extra life but also keeps your flaming arrow streak from expiring. You can only gain the extra arrow once; Only if you use up more than 3 arrows will you lose the streak, but if you do, you will not be able to get it back in any of the remaining rounds.

You start the game with a limited number of lives (3 at the start of the game), which are represented by arrows at the top center of the game screen. You lose a life each time you miss; lose all your lives and it’s game over. Each time you shoot a flaming arrow 5 times, you gain an extra life.

You earn 5 points for every fruit you successfully hit. The game ramps up in difficulty with the arrival of the moving platforms, which only move faster and faster in each successive round. Thus, it’s vitally important for you to acquire the 5 flaming arrow streak very early in the game while the targets are still stationary and easy to strike.

Track the movement pattern of the target and start aiming when the target is at the top or bottom of the cycle. If you miss, make the necessary adjustments to refine your shots.

Be careful not to lose your fourth arrow too early once you get it. If you miss twice, aim with greater precision on the third arrow to maximize the likelihood of making the shot.
