Monkey Go is a tap-timing obstacle evasion game. Help the monkey collect bananas and avoid the airplanes by changing the direction it moves at the right time.

How to Play Monkey Go

The game is immediately playable once it loads. Left click or tap anywhere to get started.

The monkey moves either clockwise or counterclockwise. To have it change direction, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Change directions to move toward bananas or evade the oncoming planes.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Level up by collecting bananas. Each banana you collect fills up the meter on the bottom center of the screen. You level up when the bar fills completely. As you move up levels, it takes more bananas to fill it up. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress. Bananas also represent your cumulative score across the levels.

You also earn coins with each banana you pick up. You can use the collective coins you’ve earned to buy hats. You can view the coins you’ve earned and the bananas you collected for the level on the top left corner. You can double your coins by selecting the green play button on the center right of the win screen.

On the win screen, you can view all the coins and bananas you’ve won as well as the hat button, which will show you all 4 of the hats you can buy.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The key to winning each level is quick response times. You must click or tap at the right time to evade the planes. Often, you’ll also need to change directions in rapid succession just to avoid several planes passing through at once.

Educational Aspects

The game hones hand-eye coordination and reaction speed. Players must quickly respond to the arriving planes to keep going.
