Onet Fruit Classic is a fruit-themed Mahjong Connect game. Connect as many identical pairs of fruit as you can to clear them from the stack. The catch is that you can only connect fruits that form a straight line, or a U, L, or S shape.

How to Play Onet Fruit Classic

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the screen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select Play to get started. When reloading the game, select Play to pick up where you last left off or select New Game to start a new session. Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.

To clear fruit tiles, select one tile, then select another identical tile in a valid location. A valid is defined as being connectable to the other tile by no less than 2 right-angle bends. This includes the following:

• Adjacent tiles
• Straight line connections
• U-shaped connections
• L- or J-shaped connections
• S- or Z-shaped connections

Keep clearing fruit tiles until all the tiles on the stack are gone. If you run out of valid moves, the game will ask you to shuffle. If you can’t shuffle, it’s game over.

If you’re ever stuck, use the shuffle and hint power ups on the top right corner of the screen to help you out. You begin with 5 of each kind. Shuffle power ups rearrange the stack so you can find more pairs. Hint power ups highlight a pair for you to clear. Finishing a level gives you an extra power up. There are no penalties for using a power ups.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The scoring of this game is cumulative. The points you earn from finishing a level are added to your total score. Each pair of tiles you remove is worth 2 points. Your web browser automatically saves your final cumulative score; it can be seen below the game’s title at the center of the welcome screen.

Play through as many levels as you can. Each level (except for Level 1) has a “gravity” effect. Pay attention to where each of the tiles “falls” and plan your moves accordingly.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

In later levels, make sure to look closely at the pairs before removing them. Be aware of how “gravity” works and clear out the pairs that may be lost if you remove the ones “below” them.

Save your shuffles. You’ll need them to survive the late game as things get more difficult.

This game encourages strategic and forward thinking. Players must not only spot viable pairs whenever they see them but also predict the way they will be affected when they remove other pairs.
