Happy Hour Game Review
Happy Hour Game Background
Happy Hour is a physics-based path-drawing and container-filling puzzle game. Much like other container-filling games like Happy Filled Glass, your job is to fill up a glass by drawing a path from the source.
The game’s mechanics are similar to Happy Slushie; both incorporate the use of physics that affect the path you draw. Your path must be able to stand firm when subjected to gravity.
How to Play Happy Hour
To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select the play button at the center of the screen to open the level selection screen. From the level selection screen, choose a city to pick a level, then choose any of the levels to get started.
Select and hold to draw. Draw a anchored path that will lead the liquid to the direction of the cup. The liquid will start flowing the moment you stop drawing. You win the level when the cup is filled to the level marked by the dashed line.
Basic Gameplay Advice
Much like Happy Slushie, the paths you draw in this game are subject to gravity. The liquid starts flowing the moment you finish drawing. Work fast; you may need to draw multiple things before you can satisfactorily fill the container.
You can one of two things to ensure that the liquid reaches the glass:
- Draw a secure path for the liquid to flow toward.
- Draw a secure platform so that the glass remains
The game has 4 themed stages with 20 levels each. Each stage is patterned after a real-world city. Each set of levels is automatically unlocked at the start of the game. You can play each level in any order you like.
Your level rating depends on the number of lines you draw on the level. The shorter the lines you use to create paths and supports, the higher your star rating will be. Keep track of your potential star rating using the
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
Always make sure to create anchors or counterweights for your paths to ensure that the weight of the flowing liquid does not dislodge them. Don’t draw these anchors any longer than necessary to maximize the number of stars you can earn per level.
Analyze the layout of each level. Look for places to draw anchors for your paths and check if you need to give the glass any additional support.
Educational Aspects
The game hones a player’s problem solving skills. To fill each glass, players must take account the game’s physics engine and the level’s layout when creating paths and barriers.
Player Age Recommendations
This game references alcohol usage in its gameplay and its jokes; we do not condone the underaged consumption of alcohol or using alcohol to escape your problems. Aside from that, it has no other adult content and is a suitable game for players school-aged and above.
