How to Play MouseRun

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select anywhere on the loading screen with your welcome screen. Select the cheese on the right side of the welcome screen to begin.

The mouse moves forward automatically. On the desktop, use the keyboard to control the mouse and activate the game controls. Press the A or left arrow keys to turn the mouse counterclockwise and the D and right arrow keys to move the mouse counterclockwise. Upon a game over, press the Esc key to return to the welcome screen or the R key to restart the game. Press the enter key to pause and unpause the game.

On a touchscreen device, tap on the buttons on the bottom left and right corners to steer the mouse. The counterclockwise button is on the left while the clockwise button is on the right.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The mouse moves forward automatically. It will move in the opposite direction of its previous trajectory if it hits the wall. Steer the mouse from left to right and move them toward the wedges of cheese that appear onscreen. Collect bonuses to earn extra points and hearts to replenish your health.

Avoid hazards like the falling flipflops and the mouse traps by moving away from them. Flipflops first appear as shadows and disappear once they land. Meanwhile, mousetraps stay around once they appear and must be repeatedly avoided; they disappear only if you fall into them.

Each time the mouse hits a hazard, it loses a life. Lives appear as balls orbiting around the mouse. When the mouse loses all its lives, it’s game over. You can replay the game as many times as you want.

You earn 5 points for every cheese wedge and 10 points for every bonus collected. Your web browser automatically saves your best score. You can view your previous best score on the top center of the screen below your current score and on the game over screen below your final score.
