Sweet Mahjong Game Background

Sweet Mahjong is a candy-themed Mahjong Solitaire game. Your goal is to clear the entire stack of candy-themed tiles within the time limit provided by matching free pairs of identical tiles.

How to Play Sweet Mahjong

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select Play on the bottom center left to begin.

Select a free tile, then select another identical one to clear it.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Basic Rules

Your goal is to clear the entire stack of candy-themed Mahjong tiles within the time limit provided. Match identical free tiles to clear them. Free tiles are those with no tile above them and one horizontal side clear of tiles.

You have a lot of time available to clear the level. However, in later levels, you will have to deal with more tiles. If you run out of time, it’s game over. You have the option to either replay the level or quit and end your playthrough. Ending your playthrough will clear your level progress and allow you to save your score on the leaderboard.

Levels & Scoring

The game has 50 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You cannot replay levels you’ve previously beaten. Each time you reload a game, you have the option to resume from the previous level you’ve unlocked or start from the first level you’ve played.

Every pair of tiles you clear is worth 250 points. You also receive bonus points based on how fast you finish the game. Your score is cumulative across every level. You can save your score on the leaderboard upon finishing every level or after quitting the game. See the leaderboard by selecting High Scores on the welcome screen.

Assistance

The game has two assistance options. You can use these as many times as you can, but it will cost you points. Their controls can be found on the lower right side of the game screen.

• Hints, accessed from the question mark button, will show you the location of any pair of valid tiles onscreen. These cost 100 points.
• Manual shuffles, accessed from the reset button, change the position of every tile onscreen. These cost 500 points.

The game keeps track of your available moves on the top center of screen. If you run out of moves, the game automatically shuffles all the tiles with no score penalty.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

To open up the stack and increase your chances of opening up the board, clear tiles from the left and right edges and work inward.

To save on points early in the game, don’t use manual shuffles. Wait until the game shuffles the tiles automatically to avoid the point penalty.
