Mr Apple is a simple 2D collecting platformer game. As an old man, collect as many apples as you can while avoiding the monsters that appear in the level.

This game was developed by Treze Games and is the prequel to Mr Apple Adventures, which features the same protagonist.

How to Play Mr Apple

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select anywhere on the loading screen to bring up the welcome screen. On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.

On the desktop, press the left and right arrow keys to walk and the up arrow key to jump. On a touchscreen device, tap on the arrows with your fingers to move. Tap on the left and right arrows on the bottom left corner to walk, and tap on the up arrow on the bottom right corner to jump.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Avoid the monsters. You have no defenses against them and the game ends when they get you. The first monster appears when you collect your first apple, then more subsequently appear as you play. The monsters move around at random, and it can be very hard to anticipate where they might go next.

The level you play is arranged in such a way that it wraps around itself in places. Jumping down the pit, for instance, will have you drop from the sky. If you move to the left edge, you will reappear on the right, and so on.

As you play the game, more means of getting around become available. These include jump pads, which will help you jump higher.

Each apple is worth 1 point. Your web browser automatically saves your high score. You can clear your high score by selecting Hold Here to Clear Your Progress on the loading screen; be warned, this cannot be undone.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Take advantage of how the game wraps around itself to reach apples faster. For instance, instead of crossing the level from the middle to get to an apple on the right, consider moving to the left edge. This also comes in handy when fleeing monsters.
