Easter Mahjongg is an Easter-themed Mahjong Solitaire game developed by Zygomatic. Match pairs of identical free tiles to clear them from the stack. Clear off the entire stack as quickly as you can.

How to Play Easter Mahjongg

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select Play to begin the game in regular mode. If you want to play a specific stack, select Level Select.

Select a tile, then select another identical free tile to clear them from the stack. Free tiles have no tiles above them and no neighboring tile on at least one of their horizontal sides.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Basic Rules

Your goal in the game’s regular mode is to clear the stack before the timer expires. When playing a specific level, your goal is to finish as quickly as possible. Clear off the stack little by little by selecting individual pairs of identical free tiles. The game helpfully highlights free tiles and grays out non-free ones.

If you run out of time in regular mode, you fail the level. You can replay the level or quit, which will end your current playthrough.

You have no time limit when you select a specific stack in level select mode.

Levels

The game’s regular mode has 10 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress. Each time you reload the game and select Play, you can choose to start a new session or resume from the last level you’ve beaten. You can also use Level Select to choose a specific stack to play.

Scoring

Your score is cumulative across every level you play in regular mode. Each pair of tiles is worth 100 points and every second remaining on the timer is worth 10 points. You can save your score to the leaderboard after you quit or finish every level when playing in regular mode.

In level select mode, your score is not recorded. Instead, the time it took to finish the level is recorded instead.

Assistance

The game has 3 means of assistance, which you can use by selecting their respective buttons on the bottom right corner of the game screen:

• Manual Shuffle (circular arrow button): Changes the arrangement of every tile on the stack
• Hint (question mark button): Shows you a random valid pair of tiles on the stack
• Undo (left arrow button): Undoes your last action

Each assistance option costs you points. Manual shuffles cost 300 points each while undos and hints cost 200 points each. The game will shuffle the tiles onscreen without any penalty if you run out of valid pairs.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Your main strategy early on should focus on opening up the stack. Clear pairs of tiles from the edges and from the taller stacks, then work your way inwards and downwards.

In regular mode games, avoid using manual shuffles unless your close to running out of time. Automatic shuffles are free.
