Summer Fruit is a tropical vacation-themed match-3 game. Swap pairs of fruits to form and clear rows of 3 or more identical fruits. Each fruit you clear charges the meter at the bottom of the game screen. Get the meter fully charged before the timer expires to beat each level

How to Play Summer Fruit

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.

Select one fruit, then select another fruit adjacent to it to have them swap places. They will remain in place if the resulting switch creates a valid row of 3 or more identical fruits. If it doesn’t, on the other hand , the fruits will return to their original spaces.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Your goal is to fill the meter at the bottom of the screen by clearing rows of 3 or more identical fruits. Form groups by swapping pairs of adjacent fruits anywhere on the screen. New fruits fall from above to replace the ones you clear. Get the meter full before the timer on the right side expires to beat the level.

The game has 40 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress. You cannot replay levels you’ve previously beaten. Each time you reload the game, you can either replay

Each fruit is worth 3 points; you can earn between 9 and 15 points for every row you clear. Your also earn 1 point for every second left on the timer. Your score is cumulative across every level you play. You can save your final score on the leaderboard upon finishing the game or after quitting when you fail the level. Select High Scores on the welcome screen to view the leaderboard.

Form groups of 4 or more fruits to form power ups. The game has 3 basic types of power ups.

• Power ups with a cross-shaped arrow and a ring of dots will take out a horizontal and vertical row of 4 fruits.
• Power ups with a only a cross-shaped arrow will take out 8 fruits within a perimeter around it. These are formed when you clear 5 fruits in an L-shape.
• Rainbow power-ups will clear all fruits of the type it switches places with. These are the only power up you can activate without forming a row. These form when you clear a horizontal or vertical row of 5 fruits.

If you go too long without forming a row, the game will helpfully point out a pair of fruits you can swap to make one.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Chain reactions are a big part of this game. Forming and clearing the right row will often trigger a sequence when new rows are formed and cleared. As new fruits replace them, there’s an even greater chance that they too will form rows, and so on. Once it gets going, a chain reaction will fill up the meter rapidly with little effort on your part. This is especially important in later levels where time is of the essence.

Use the power ups to your advantage. Once they start forming, see if you can activate them as soon as you can. Because they clear many fruits at once, they increase the likelihood of triggering chain reactions.
