How to Play Sokofarm

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select Start on the bottom right corner to begin the level you’ve selected.

On a desktop, use the keyboard’s WASD or arrow keys to move. Press the A or left arrow key to move left. Press the D or right arrow key to move right. Press the W or up arrow key to move up. Press the A or down arrow key to move down. To return to the welcome screen, press the X key. To restart the level, press the R key.

On a touchscreen device, tap on the movement pad with your fingers to move your character. The movement pad appears on the bottom left corner of the game screen.

Basic Gameplay Advice

As a farmer, push each seed bag to a tilled plot of land on the field. Like in other Sokoban games, you can only push the seed bag from behind. Should the seed bag find itself in a corner, it is rendered immovable. Once all the seed bags are in the plots, they grow into harvestable plants; at this point, you win the level. Likewise, if you make a mistake that renders the game unwinnable, simply restart the level and try again.

The game has 25 levels that are unlocked sequentially. Each level has a different layout and may have different plants grown, but there will usually be only a few seed bags to push. You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Always make sure that you have a space behind the seed bag to move it in the desired direction. Avoid placing seed bags along the wall unless it runs along a plot or curves out later down the line. Remember, the obvious route is not always the best one. Often, you’ll need to take much longer routes to maintain access to the seed packs until you move them in place.

Sometimes, you may need to move a seed bag into position before moving them out, only to place them back in later. Other times, you must move a seed bag part of the way then come back to it later so you can move the other one.

If you’re having trouble solving the levels, try using trial and error. Restart the level and move the other bag instead, or push the bag you previously started with toward a different direction.
