Christmas Connect Game Background

Christmas Connect is a Christmas-themed Mahjong Connect game. Connect pairs of identical tiles with clear paths toward one another to slowly clear the screen. Each path must not contain more than two 90-degree bends. Clear all the tiles before the timer expires.

How to Play Christmas Connect

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select Play on the lower right of the welcome screen to begin.

Select one tile, then select another tile to connect and remove them. The tiles that you select must connect by a line that has no more than two 90 degree bends. Tiles that are adjacent can also be removed this way.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Basic Rules

Clear the screen of tiles by selecting pairs of identical tiles that have a clear path between them. Tiles will that have been paired will move toward one another slowly, then leave once they’ve fused together. Finish off every tile before the timer expires to beat each level.

If you run out of time, you fail the level. From there, you can either replay the level or quit. Quitting will clear your level progress.

The game has 12 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. Each time you reload the game, you have the option of starting over from the first level or continuing from the last level you’ve unlocked. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress.

Scoring

Your score is cumulative across every level you play. Each pair of tile you make is 50 points; you also receive an extra 30 points for every second remaining on the timer. Moreover, you receive a combo bonus for every consecutive pair of tiles you clear. The more tiles you remove, the higher the bonus gets. The bonus continues until you go a few seconds without forming a pair after the latest pair’s tiles have moved toward each other.

You can save your final score on the leaderboard upon finishing the game or after quitting. View the leaderboard by selecting High Scores on the welcome screen.

Assistance

The game has two assistance options: hints and shuffles. Both can be used three times in each level but deduct 250 points from your score each time you use them. Select the arrow button to activate the manual shuffle for . This will change the position of every tile onscreen. Select the question mark button to get a hint. Hints reveal a valid pair anywhere on the grid.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

One of the best ways to keep your chain bonus going is by connecting as distant a pair as possible. The time it takes for them to fuse buys you enough time to look for and make new pairs to keep the chain going.
