Mexican Suika Game Review
Mexican Suika Game Background
Mexican Suika Game is a food-themed merging game inspired by the original Suika Game featuring dishes and food items found in Mexican cuisine. Drop the dishes down the shaft and merge identical ones together. Keep dropping and merging dishes until you form the largest one.
How to Play Mexican Suika Game
To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Selecting will immediately drop the first dish down the shaft. The dishes drop wherever you click or tap. Each time you drop a dish on an identical dish, they will merge together.
Merge as many dishes as you can until you form the largest one. The game continues on after this. As the stack grows higher, a dashed line appears at the top of the shaft. If any of the dishes on the stack gets past the dashed line, it’s game over.
Each pair of dishes you merge adds points to your score. The number of points you earn per merge varies with the size of the dishes. The smallest dishes, for instance, are worth 1 point when merged. Your web browser automatically saves your best score. Your best score appears near the center of the welcome screen just above the game’s title.
Basic Gameplay Advice
You can see both your current and next dishes, which will allow you to plan ahead. Make sure to have a spot ready for both of the dishes before you drop the current one. Forward thinking will help you immensely throughout the game.
Try to keep the dishes organized as you drop them. Make sure that the smaller dishes don’t get in the way of the bigger ones. This is especially important as the game only generates the first few dishes, which means smaller dishes will appear more frequently. Keeping small dishes away from big ones not only keeps them from preventing big ones from merging but also helps you avoid large empty spaces from forming. These voids, if allowed to form, would make the stack higher than it needs to be.
After you drop a dish, it and the other dishes would often move around a bit before settling. Make sure to wait until the dishes settle before dropping the next one; this will ensure that your dishes fall where they’re supposed to. Alternately, you can drop dishes in a way that lets you nudge other dishes closer together; this can be exceptionally helpful if you need to merge two large dishes that aren’t close enough to touch.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
We recommend organizing the dishes in a stair-step arrangement, with the smaller dishes on one side and the larger ones on the other. This will help you merge the dishes effectively while minimizing the chances of forming voids. If for some reason you can’t stick to this arrangement, be sure to at least keep the smaller dishes to one side to keep them contained.
The game has neither a time limit nor any special bonuses for working fast. Take your sweet time finding the right spots for the dishes.
Educational Aspects
This game encourages players to be patient and methodical. Players must plan each of their moves well to merge the dishes efficiently. The game also introduces players to common food items and dishes found in Mexican cuisine, though it does not label them.
Player Age Recommendations
This game is suited for school-aged players and above. We recommend this game for players who like merging games similar to the original Suika Game.
