How to Play Yellow Ball Adventure

Press the blue triangle at the bottom center of the game loading screen to bring up the welcome screen. Press the blue triangle button on the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.

Move left by pressing the A key or the left arrow key.

Move right by pressing the D key or the right arrow key.

Jump by pressing the W key or the up arrow key.

Basic Gameplay Advice

This game features 18 stages which are unlocked sequentially. To beat each stage you must simply safely make it to the red flag. Do not run into spikes, get hit by moving blades, or fall off platform. You can jump through the rope some blades swing from, though must not touch the blades themselves.

On each stage you can earn up to a 3-star rating by running into and collecting stars. If you get fewer than 3 stars on a stage you can continue to progress through the game and later go back to get any missed stars and beat the game 100 percent.

A tricky part on this game is moving platforms.

• some move up and down
• some swing from side to side

Timing your moves is crucial for landing on moving platforms and for having the right momentum not to fall off them. You need to move laterally with the moving platforms. Ensure you are flat on any vertical moving platform before jumping across or you may have a jump that is incomplete.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

You do not need to collect all the stars to beat each stage. If you are having trouble reaching a star just complete the stage without it and then come back to that level after beating all 18 stages.

When you have to go through a path of a floating spinning blade time your movements so you cross just after it passes. If you are on a platform where a floating blade is spinning around and you want to fall off to a platform directly below go down the side where the blade moves down just after it rather than trying to race it on the other side.

If your momentum feels uncertain on a moving platform slow down the game and stay with the platform a couple cycles back and forth to build up your rhythm.

Sometimes you have to drastically change your speed or momentum while in midair to quickly pass a dangerous area and safely land. In some instances it makes sense to jump into platforms and use bumping into them to slow down.
