How to Play Worm Hole

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the level selection screen, select an unlocked level number to begin.

On a desktop, press the WASD or arrow keys on your keyboard to move the worm.

• Press the W or up arrow key to move up.
• Press the A or left arrow key to move left.
• Press the S or down arrow key to move down.
• Press the D or right arrow key to move right.

To move the worm on a touchscreen device, tap on the screen with your fingers and swipe in the direction you want to go.

Basic Gameplay Advice

As a worm, move around the platforms and make your way to the green portal somewhere in the level. You can only move forward. Avoid falling down by having at least one segment of your body on a horizontal platform. You can also use the balloons, boxes, and apples as temporary platforms.

To extend your reach, eat more apples. Each apple adds one more segment to your body. You can also use apples as platforms provided that you don’t hit their sides with your head.

Watch out for various hazards along the way. Touching spikes, for instance, is an instant game over. The same applies for falling off a platform. When you die, you automatically restart the level. You can retry the level as many times as you want. You can also select the reset button on the top left corner to reload the level if you ever get stuck.

The game’s 30 levels are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any previously beaten level. Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Avoid falling into the abyss by ensuring at least one segment of your body is resting on a platform at all times.

Not every apple should be eaten. You sometimes must leave several apples to use as platforms to reach your level objective.

Trial and error are a key part of this game. You often need a lot of back and forth movement to get a clear idea of the way the level is arranged. Repeating the level will also clue you in on how many apples you’ll actually need to eat.

Boxes often need pushed a bit at a time before a reset leading up to the next push.

Remember, you cannot occupy a spot any of your segments are currently occupying as your next move. Make sure to collect items in the correct order to avoid getting stuck because your tail is in the way.
