Whack a Mole Game Background

Whack a Mole is a 2D game inspired by the similarly named family of classic arcade games. As the name suggests, your job is to hit every mole that emerges from the holes to earn points.

How to Play Whack a Mole

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select Start at the center of the welcome screen to begin. Select the moles to whack them.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The game’s objectives are simple: whack the moles that emerge from the holes while avoiding the bombs that sometimes appear in the holes. The holes themselves move around and the moles and bombs only appear above them for a short time, which gets shorter as the game progresses.

Keep whacking as many moles as you can within 60 seconds. As you play the game, the moles start wearing a variety of hats, including disguises meant to make them resemble bombs. The game ends when the timer near the top right corner expires.

At the start, each mole is worth 100 points. The number of points you earn increases the more moles you hit. The game’s difficulty

You start the game with 3 lives. Each time you hit a bomb, you lose a life. Lose all your lives and it’s game over. Once you’re done, you can share your final score on Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp using the buttons on the game over screen.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Look carefully before you whack. While you may only have a split second, a quick glance may be enough to distinguish moles and bombs. This is especially important much later in the game when moles have fuses on their heads and bombs have mole snouts painted on them.

This game hones a player’s hand-eye coordination and observation skills. Players are challenged to determine moles and bombs on the spot within a fraction of a second.
