Basic Gameplay Advice
Setup
You begin with a set of 16 white drum pads with additional controls on either side. All the controls you need to play music in this game is located in this one screen. Upon loading, the drum pads have Drop Sound Sample Here written on them, which fades out after a few seconds. Before you can start playing, however, you must set it up first.
To set up a drum pad, you must first select a preset. Choose a kit from the sound sample bar; this will open up a set of numbers. Select a number to hear the drum sound it makes; listen to all of them before making your choice.
Once you find one you like, drag and drop the number onto the drum pad you want it to go. Repeat the process until you have all the drum sounds you need. You can increase or decrease the volume of each drum pad by pressing the plus or minus buttons near the top left of the game screen.
The game’s sound sample bar has within it 24 drum kit models, with a total of 369 drum sounds:

By default, the drum pad will have text labeling the model it’s from and the drum sound it makes. You can show and hide the text by toggling Show Sample Text below the Pad Setting section on the bottom right corner of the screen.
On desktops and laptops, the game also has keyboard mapping, which allows you to play the drum pads using the keyboard instead of your mouse or trackpad. The game starts with a default keyboard map, but you can choose you own by selecting Bind Keys on the Keyboard Mapping section at the center right edge of the screen. Select Reset Keys to return the setup to the way it was before should you prefer it; alternately, you can reset the game itself. You can also show and hide the keyboard assignments by toggling Show Map Keys on the Pad Setting section.
The game allows you to manually save your chosen configurations. You can choose to save your game’s current drum configuration by selecting the Save Config button near the top left corner of the game. This will download a .json file with your drums to your device. You can use the configuration again by selecting the Load Config button and uploading the file again.
The Pad Setting Section also lets you paint the pads a certain color. Drag and drop any of the 6 available colors from the Pad Settings section to any drum pad to color it.
Audio Player
You also have the option of loading a song file from your device and playing it. This is great if you’re a novice drummer who want to practice by following the beat of a song you know. Select Load Audio and choose a music track from any of the files on your device. Press the arrow button to play the song, then press the stop button to stop playing the track.
You can change the volume of the track using the controls provided. We recommend lowering the volume of the track if you want to focus on the sound of your drumming.
Recording
The record control section is located at the bottom left corner of the game screen. Press the record button at the bottom left corner. To stop recording, press the square stop button. Select the lay arrow button on the bottom left side to play back the finished recording.
There is no upper limit to your recording time. Your recordings can be as long as they need to be. That said, this feature is only available to laptops and desktops.
Once you’re finished and you’re happy with your beats, press the clod and arrow button on the bottom left side to download the recording.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
This game has a lot to offer for many kinds of musicians and music lovers. For amateur drummers, we recommend using this game to practice. One way to do that is to practice beats live alongside a song you like. Composers, meanwhile, can use the program to create their own arrangements.
Meanwhile, if you’ll be playing on a touchscreen device, we recommend choosing a device with a larger screen. Doing so will give your fingers more room to hit each drum pad more precisely.
Use the rhythms you’ve made with this game in conjunction with other music files by editing them using an audio editor. Check out Virtu Piano if you want to compose a song to go with your rhythm.
Educational Aspects
This is a versatile and customizable percussion instrument simulator that will help introduce players to the basics of drumming. It can also help aspiring musicians practice making their own beat compositions.
Player Age Recommendations
This game is suited for school-aged players and above. We recommend it for musically inclined individuals regardless of skill level.
