Unpuzzle Master Game Review

Unpuzzle Master Game Background

Unpuzzle Master is a spatial puzzle game where you must remove a set of arrow blocks in the correct order using a limited number of moves. Analyze the direction each block is pointing to find the correct sequence of moves to clear the tiles without running out of moves.

How to Play Unpuzzle Master

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. The game begins with a tutorial and is playable once it finishes loading.

Select any arrow tile to move it. The arrow tile ill only move offscreen if it isn’t obstructed by anything. If anything stands in its way, it will stop.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Basic Rules

Clear all the arrows shown onscreen within the number of moves provided. To do this, you must remove the arrows in the correct sequence, making sure to remove every arrow that obstructs the others.

You start each level with a limited number of moves. If the arrow tile stops, it counts as a move. Much later in the game, you must often allow some arrows to be blocked for a time to eventually clear all of them. You will fail the level if you run out of moves before clearing every tile and must restart. You will also fail the level if tiles get stuck in some way, such as when end up with tiles going in opposing directions that face each othe.

Level Features

This game features 45 stages which are unlocked sequentially. You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels, though can replay any stage an unlimited number of times until you beat it.

In some levels, you can move arrow tiles toward spinning gears. This action will destroy the arrow tile, and it will count as part of the number of arrow tiles you’ve removed. These first appear on the 6th level.

Warp portals appear from the 15th level onward. Tiles that enter the warp exit another while still moving in the same direction. Each colored portal behaves differently. Yellow portals act as exits; tiles can pass by them with no issue. Green portals are entrances, and tiles that enter them will exit through a yellow warp portal elsewhere in the level. If using the warps causes one tile to point toward another where both must exit through one another, the tiles will get stuck.

From the 25th level onward, you can encounter spinners. These have tiles connected to their arms. Select the spinners to move them. Spinners move 90 degrees in a clockwise motion; moving the spinner does not count against your move count. Move the spinner around so the tiles connected to it face the appropriate directions, then tap on them to disengage them. Sometimes, though, you may need to clear tiles away from the spinner before selecting the tiles on it. If a tile hits a spinner’s central beam, it will get stuck and you will need to replay the current level again.

Some levels can have 2 or 3 layers on them, with only the current layer fully visible. Clearing all tiles from the current layer makes the lower translucent layer become the current active layer. On any stage with multiple layers the move count limit is shared across layers.

Level Progress

The game’s levels are unlocked sequentially. Each time you reload the game, you begin at the latest level you’ve unlocked.

Later levels (starting from the 21st) may come in layers, with the 30th level onwards having 3 or more layers to clear. The top layer of tiles have more vibrant colors, whereas the bottom layer levels are more muted until the ones above them are gone. You must clear the tiles from the top downward. The level’s move count apply across every layer.

Level features like warp portals, gears, and spinners are only active on the layer they’re on. You may encounter more features as you go down the layers.

Diamonds & Customization

You begin the game with 20,000 diamonds and earn 20 with each level you finish. Although the game has an ad-powered diamond multiplier you can press, this is currently disabled as we did not enable in-game ads.

Use the diamonds you’ve earned to unlock customization options from the skin shop. To open the skin shop, select the paint brush button either at the center of the win screen or on the top left corner of the game screen. Select any of the tile styles you can afford to unlock them. After that, select any of the unlocked tiles to equip them.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

In general, begin with the tiles on the edge that point to a side away from the field. In levels with gears, move every tile pointing to them as soon as you can. As you clear these, more possible moves appear. Repeat the process until every easy move (i.e. the obvious ones that won’t be blocked) are cleared off.

Warp portals are the game’s wild card. In general, it’s better to move tiles away from the warp areas rather than trying to use the warp portals themselves. If you use the warps early, you risk making a bad play with the tile you used and will be forced to restart.

The number of moves you have is often in excess of the number of tiles you need to clear. This sometimes indicates that you must have some tiles stop at one point before being cleared. In these instances, try to see which tiles you can move this way that will free up the most number of subsequent tiles across the board.
