You cannot put incorrect numbers in any of the squares.
Basic Gameplay Advice
This is a timed Sudoku game with three difficulty levels. Your goal is to fill each row, column, and 3 x 3 square on the grid with a single instance of every number from 1 to 9. Use logical deduction to determine the whereabouts of the numbers. Solve the entire puzzle as fast as you can. You cannot place numbers twice in a row, column, or square.
Much like many other Sudoku games, you have the option to place in small guessed numbers if you don’t want to commit to an answer yet. This can help you in the process of elimination as you play the game. You can also rely on the game’s array of assistance options to help you out.
Select the gear button close to the top center of the screen to open the game’s assistance options. These are as follows:
- Get a hint: Shows you a random correct number somewhere in the grid
- Fill the board with notes: Shows you a set of complete, accurate notes on the corner of every empty space
- Solve the Sudoku: Give up and have the game show the solution.
The gear menu also contains these extra controls:
- Reset the Sudoku: Replay the level from the beginning
- Timer: Turns the game’s timer on or off.
- Eraser: Erases all your notes
Although the game mentions that you lose points if you use assistance options, the game itself does not keep score. It does, however, keep track of how long you’ve been playing. The timer can be turned on and off. You can use the timer to compare your own performance with yourself and those of other players.
The game has three difficulty levels. The harder the difficulty, the fewer numbers you begin with.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
The game offers several options that you can use to help you guess before even resorting to hints. For instance, it the highlights each row, column, and square connected to the space you selected. The game also highlights every number you jot down in a space in blue. Use these to narrow down what number could be placed in each space selected.
The number highlight feature can also be used to determine the location of each number already placed in; this can help you avoid making duplicate guesses.
Use the note feature to keep track of the possible numbers in each of the spaces.
Finally, the game declines in difficulty as you play. The more numbers you correctly guess, the easier it is to guess the remaining numbers.
