Ultimate Baseball Game Review
Ultimate Baseball Game Background
Ultimate Baseball is a home run derby style batting game. Hit the oncoming baseballs at the right time and place to hit a home run.
This game was developed by MarketJS.
How to Play Ultimate Baseball
To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button below the game’s title to begin.
Select the swing boxes onscreen to swing in the direction mentioned. Hit the ball at the right time (i.e. when its trail turns green) to get a home run.
Basic Gameplay Advice
Swing high, middle, or low each time the ball approaches. If you hit the ball at the right time, you will get a home run. The ball’s timing is indicated in part by the trail it has. Hitting when the trail is red results in a strike for swinging too early. Hitting when the trail is blue sends the ball elsewhere (indicated by “out” or “almost”). The perfect time to hit the ball is when its trail is green. Missing the ball, meanwhile, will also lead to a strike.
You begin with 10 pitches throughout the game, which slowly goes down as you play. Unlike in other home run derby games, you do not get an extra pitch if you do get a home run. The game ends when you run out of pitches.
You get 200 points for every successful home run and 100 points for every hit that isn’t one. The highest possible score you can earn in this game is 2,000.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
Pay close attention to how fast the trail’s color changes Ideally, you should swing when the trail is green or when it’s been blue for awhile and may change color once you do swing.
Try to keep your mouse cursor or fingers hovering somewhere at the middle of the screen. This will reduce the time it takes for you to move to swing in any direction.
You can often tell the direction and timing of a pitch based on its behavior. Higher pitches begin rather high and arc downwards, often providing ample time for you to respond appropriately. Lower pitches, meanwhile are flat (often appearing near your feet at times) then curve upward. They move much faster than high pitches and give you less time to respond. Middle pitches can may start off high or flat, and are sort of in between the two extremes.
Educational Aspects
This game helps hone a player’s response times, concentration, and hand-eye coordination. It also helps players develop pattern recognition skills needed to make appropriate judgment calls.
Player Age Recommendations
This game is suited for players school-aged and above. We recommend this game for players who enjoy home run derby baseball games.
