How to Play The Greedy Chef

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select Play at the center to begin.

On a desktop, use the keyboard to control the chef. Press the left and right arrow keys to move and press the up arrow keys to jump (press twice to double jump). On a touchscreen device, tap on the arrow buttons on the bottom row to move. The left and right arrows appear on the bottom left and the up arrow appears on the bottom right.

Basic Gameplay Advice

As the greedy chef, collect as many delicious donuts as you can while avoiding the rolling evil cheese. The cheese fall down from the top of the screen and will damage you if they hit you. They will eventually roll down a hole at the bottom of the screen. To move up, you can either double jump or stomp on an enemy.

The game provides you with 3 lives. Each time the cheese hits you directly, you lose a life. Lose all your lives and the game ends. You also get an automatic game over whenever you fall down the bottom hole.

Earn as many points as you can. Each donut you pick up is worth 1 point. Your web browser automatically saves your best score, which you can view along with your current score on the game over screen.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

You can stomp on the rolling enemies to give you a boost. Stomping on the enemy cheese will cost you no lives. It is the only offensive attack you have in this game.

Ideally, you should attempt to jump on the evil cheese when they’re rolling toward you. One of the best spots to stomp on them is from the opposite side of the wall they’re rolling toward. As they will switch directions when they hit the wall, you can jump on them at the right moment to give you the boost you need.
