Temple Crossing Game Review

Temple Crossing Game Background

Temple Crossing is a tap-based bridge building game where you help an adventurer archeologist explore a newly discovered temple. Click or tap and hold long enough to create a bridge of the appropriate length.

This game was developed by MarketJS.

How to Play Temple Crossing

Select by left clicking with your mouse or tapping on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button on the bottom center of the screen to begin.

To build a bridge, select and hold. Release to drop the bridge.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Basic Rules

Your goal is to create a bridge of the appropriate length that will help the explorer move from one platform to the next. The bridge must be long enough to reach the platform. It cannot be longer or shorter; if it is, the explorer will walk off the edge and plummet to his doom.

Each platform you cross is worth 1 point. Your web browser automatically saves your best score, which appears alongside your latest score on the game over screen.

Coins & Power Ups

Along the way, you can also coins, which you can use to buy power ups. The three power ups can be found on the bottom center of the game screen.

  • The jump (10 coins) allows you to leap directly onto the next platform without making a bridge.
  • The second chance (20 coins) lets you build another bridge if the first one isn’t up to stuff.
  • The accurate eye (6 coins) lets you measure out exactly how tall your bridge needs to be to reach the next platform.

You can use the power ups as many times as you can, provided you can afford them.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The trick in this game is to know when to overshoot. In times where the platforms are narrow, there’s a slim margin of error. Meanwhile, for wider platforms, you have more leeway to overshoot slightly. Don;t worry; each time you do succeed in getting the explorer across, he will always stand at the end of the platform regardless of the bridge’s length.

That said, don’t push your luck and let go when you think it’s long enough.

Educational Aspects

The game helps hone a player’s dexterity and ability to make precision estimates based on vague factors like touch.

Player Age Recommendations

This game is suitable for players school-aged and above. We recommend this game for players who like length-guessing idle-tap games.
