Square Jet is a simple room escape platforming game where player’s jumps are augmented by a jetpack.

The game was published by Maximiliano Demonte’s QKY Game Studios.

How to Play Square Jet

Move around the stage using the WASD keys or the arrow keys. Press the W key or the up arrow key to jump.

Press and hold W or the up arrow key to activate the jetpack, or tap either while in midair to cycle them. You have a limited amount of fuel on each jump, with your fuel fully replenished each time you land on a platform.

Tap on the game loading screen to bring up the welcome screen. Tap anywhere on the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.

Basic Gameplay Advice

This game has 21 stages which are unlocked sequentially. Each stage has hazardous lava or spinning red boxes you must avoid. If you crash into either of them you die and the stage reloads.

Levels also feature 3 collectible yellow gems, and a big yellow exit portal you must pass through. You do not need to collect all the gems to beat the stage, though the level select screen shows how many gems you collected from each stage.

Triangle icons act like trampolines, allowing you to bounce off them to gain elevation.

Near the end of the game some stages have gates on them which can be unlocked by collecting keys. Be careful when using the keys, as they also destroy some of the orange platforms you need to walk across to make it through the stage, and instead require landing on much smaller triangles.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

If your goal is to move up high you typically are better off activating the jetpack and keeping it active until you have reached your goal height. If your goal is to move far horizontally, typically you use fuel more efficiently by repeated light taps instead of a press and hold.

The horizontal movements require precise timing in some areas. If you are struggling to collect all of the yellow gems try beating the level while skipping the hard gems and then come back to them after playing through all 21 stages.

Educational Aspects

This game requires precise timing that can improve player’s hand eye coordination. Some stages have rather tight passages which can help people develop their patience – though only after many deaths!

Player Age Recommendations

This game is fun for players who are children in middle school right on through to adulthood. Younger players might get frustrated by how difficult some of the stages are, particularly if they are trying to complete the game to 100%.
