Shoot or Die is a simple clicker quick-draw shooting game. Choose a character, then be the first to shoot to win the duel, no aiming required. Take out as many enemies as you can before they take you out.

How to Play Shoot or Die

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select anywhere on the welcome screen, then choose a character to play as to begin. There are 8 characters to select.

To shoot, select at the right time. Do not shoot until the Shoot! command appears onscreen.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The rules of the game are simple. Each round begins with one of two types of countdown. The countdowns have a similar opening (“Ready!” “Steady!”) but has two different ends. When the countdown ends with the phrase “Avoid!” you must avoid shooting your foe. However, you must immediately shoot when the countdown ends with the phrase “Shoot!”

You earn a point each time you successfully shoot your foes. To load the next foe, select anywhere on the screen. Keep shooting enemies for as long as you can. The game ends when one of your foes shoots you.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The key to this game is timing. You must make your move when the game says “Shoot” and skip when it says “Avoid.” Condition yourself using either the word itself or the color (“Shoot” is green and “Avoid” is red). Don’t wait too long to shoot; selecting too soon or too slowly will cause you to be shot.

As you progress through the game, the countdowns move faster. Be prepared to click or tap faster.

This game is suited for older school-aged children and above. Although it has cartoon blood and violence, it otherwise has no adult content and does not encourage violence. We recommend this game for players who like simple quick-draw shooting games.
