How to Play Save The Duck

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button at the bottom center to load the level selection screen. Select an unlocked level’s number to begin.

Select anywhere on the screen to pour water in the direction of your mouse cursor or fingertips.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Your goal is to bring the rubber duckie to the bathtub. Pour a sufficient amount of water into the platforms to push the rubber duck toward where it needs to go. The duck cannot land anywhere but a platform or the bathtub.

Besides platforms, the game also has a number of features that can help bring or hinder the duck’s path toward the tub.

• Portals appear in various levels. The duck and water enter from one portal and exit another.
• Spikes can damage the duck. To keep it from getting damaged, push a blue block on top of it using the water.
• Rotating platforms can block your duckie’s path. Pour water on it or drop a ball on it to spin it around.
• Conveyors will move objects on it to a specific direction. Pay attention to where it goes to see whether you should push it or not.
• You can push large white balls as counterweights on spinning platforms.

If you make a mistake, you can restart the level by selecting the reset button on the top right corner.

The game has 30 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress. You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten.

Each level has a star rating, which is based on how much water you used to achieve the level’s goals. In general, the less water you use, the higher your star rating will be. Conversely, if you use too much water, you won’t earn any stars at all. Use the water usage meter at the top left corner of the screen to measure the amount of water you used throughout the level.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Pay attention to the arrangement of the elements in the game to determine the path you should use to bring the duckie to the tub. Compare areas where water will pool and look for elements such as spinning platforms and conveyors that will redirect objects. Know how everything works before pouring down the water.

Use a gentle touch to start pouring water. This will help you reduce the amount you actually use throughout each level, which is helpful if you want to earn a higher star rating.

If you’re having trouble earning a higher star rating, you can use trial and error to calibrate the exact length of time you need to pour to save on water. Likewise, if you’re having too much trouble, give yourself a mental break and come back to that level later.
