Basic Gameplay Advice
Basic Rules
Create a path for Bob to reach the star and the target objects he needs to finish the level. Place objects of various shapes to create a path for Bob, then get him moving to bring him to where he needs to go. Bob will change direction when he hits a wall he can’t move past.
You can only use a limited number of objects to form the path, so you must pause Bob and reuse the objects as many times as you need. Going past the object limit on the top left corner without deleting an object first will cause you to lose a star.
Bob must collect two things from the level, though he only needs one, the item, to finish it. Collecting the star is optional, but is key to finishing the level with 3 stars.
Levels & Star Ratings
Levels are unlocked sequentially. They appear in four groups of twenty. The game has 80 levels in total. You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten. We recommend replaying levels to earn higher star ratings.
Each level has a star rating, which is based on how well you perform. Your performance is measured based on these three factors:
- Pick up the level’s item.
- Pick up the star.
- Use only the number of objects to create the path you need and not one more.
The number of stars you can win in each level section appears at the bottom of its page on the level selection screen.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
Be patient. Often, you’ll need to pause and un-pause the game multiple times to collect both the star and the item you need to finish the level. These will frequently be located in different parts of the level or in different elevations, almost certainly requiring some backtracking to accomplish.
Stay focused when clearing a level. You must often pause the game at just the right time to swap out individual pieces to build up the next section of path. Make sure to delete the parts you don’t need to
Lastly, if you can’t figure out a level, you can always come back to it later.
Educational Aspects
This game hones a player’s logical thinking and problem solving skills.
