Pizza Shop is a time management restaurant sim where you operate a pizzeria. Serve customers by taking their orders and meeting them in a timely manner. Finish each level’s quota, then clear the required number of ingredients on the grid to beat the level.

This game was published by Zygomatic, which also published Flower Shop, Flower Shop 2, and Jewel Shop.

How to Play Pizza Shop

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select Play on the right side to open the level selection screen. From the level selection screen, select an unlocked level’s icon to begin.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Overview

Like Flower Shop 2, the game is divided into two phases: a time management business sim and a connect 3 game. In the first part of the game, the player must fulfill orders for the target number of customers. Customers must receive exactly what they asked for as quickly as possible. Collect tips to earn points. In the second part of the game, form rows of 3 or more identical ingredients to clear them. Clear the target ingredients to collect them. The level ends when you collect the target number of ingredients.

You must complete both phases of the game before the timer expires. Upon finishing the level, select Next Level to return to the level selection screen. You will fail the level if you run out of time to finish both parts. You can either restart the level or quit. Quitting will let you save your game to the leaderboard but clear your previous level progress.

Time Management Business Sim

Start off by selecting a customer’s speech bubble upon their arrival. Move to the dough station to prepare the pizza’s base, then wait. Once the dough is done, pick it up, then move to the topping station to place in the toppings. Once the toppings are done, select the finished pizza, then bring it to the customer. The customer will leave behind a tip. Pick up the tip to register the customer as “served.”

In between preparing orders, you can take other customers’ orders and pick up the payments previous customers left behind. Repeat the process until you meet the required number of customers to serve. If you make a mistake, select the recycling bin to toss out the incorrect item. From Level 4 onward, you can also leave items in the table and come back for them later.

Customers have a limited amount of patience, which is indicated by the red part of the speech balloon. As their patience wears thin, the amount of red in their balloons increase. When their balloon is fully enveloped in red, they lose their patience and leave. This applies both before you take their order and while you try to fulfill it.

Connect 3

The connect 3 side of the game works like other similar games we have on this site. Select one ingredient, then drag it to the location of an adjacent one to have them switch places. If the switch creates a valid row of 3 or more identical rows, they stay in place and the row is cleared. Otherwise, they snap back to their original places.

Your goal in the remaining part of the game is to clear the number of ingredients shown on the top center of the screen.

Clearing more than 3 identical ingredients creates a special ingredient that, when activated, clears multiple ingredients at once. Clearing 4 ingredients at once and 5 ingredients in a T shape will create an exploding ingredient. Add it to a valid row and it will take out either a horizontal or vertical row of tiles or 8 tiles within its perimeter. Clearing 5 in a row will create a rainbow ingredient; this can be swapped with any ingredient without forming a row. Once activated, rainbow ingredients will clear every instance of the ingredient it swapped with in the grid.

Levels & Scoring

The game has 14 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten. Your web browser automatically saves level progress and individual level scores.

You have both a cumulative score and an individual level score. You can alter your level score by replaying the level and finishing it faster. You earn 100 points for every order you finish. On the connect 3 phase, you can earn 5 points for every ingredient you clear. This amounts to 15 to 25 points for every row you clear.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The key to this game is efficient time management. Maximize every second by multitasking. If you need to wait for a step to be finished, for instance, use this opportunity to attend to a different task. While the pizzas are being prepared, for instance, you can take orders and collect tips. From Level 4 onward, use the table to store blank bases.

To further save time, get the orders right each time. Part of the game’s difficulty is the distance between each station. As much as possible, avoid disposing your pizzas.

If you think you can’t make it to a customer in time, dispose of the pizza if you can’t give it to another customer as soon as you can. You are better off losing the customer and working on another one whose order you can actually meet.

When playing the connect 3 part of the game, form and clear as many of the special ingredients as you can to take out multiple ingredients at once. Not only will it help you meet your goals faster, it will also clear extra ingredients that will help bolster your score.
