This is a Christmas-themed stealth platformer game where players must move the Christmas presents under the tree and then escape without making too much sound or getting spotted.

How to Play Operation Chimney

• Move Santa Clause left by pressing the A key, the left arrow key, or the on-screen left button.
• Move Santa Clause right by pressing the D key, the right arrow key, or the on-screen right button.
• Press the S key, the down arrow key, or the on-screen down button to climb down ladders or to hide behind plants.
• Press the W key, the up arrow key, or the on-screen up arrow button to climb up ladders or to jump out from behind a plant.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The upper left corner of the screen shows a noise meter. Each time you jump you create noise upon landing. If you walk across any toy you end up making a bunch of noise at once.

You lose the stage if the noise meter reaches 100%, if a security camera has a direct line of sight of Santa Claus, or if a child sees Santa.

You beat a stage by getting all the Christmas presents under the Christmas tree and safely making it back to the chimney to escape.

The game features 15 stages which are unlocked sequentially.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Levels are not timed, so be sure to wait for the noise meter to dissipate if it is high or you are going through an area with many obstacles.

Each child with a flashlight and security camera goes through a regular pattern. Observe their movement cycle in advance and time your moves based off of their movements.

If a move seems impossible that likely means you either need to hide behind a plant, or you have to rely on a platform blocking the direct line of sight for a security camera. Rather than chasing some of the kids it can be helpful to think of them as guides and follow them from plant to plant.

You can stop part way up on ladders. Be sure you make it to the top of the ladder before trying to move left or right, or you may end up falling back down to the bottom of the ladder.
