How to Play OMG Word Pop

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button at the center to open the level selection screen. Select an unlocked level to begin.

Select a letter then drag around to spell out a word. Release your selection when you’ve reached the last letter of the word. The letters of the word must be connected in the proper order.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Connect the letters onscreen to form the words shown on the bottom row. You can connect the letters horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, as long as they link up in the correct order. The words you must guess are represented by letterspaces that indicate the number of letters needed to spell them. Each time you remove a word, the letters that make it up are removed. Subsequently, you must choose the right set of letter-blocks to clear a word on the grid.

Each level has a star rating based on how many attempts you make to find all the words. The meter on the top row indicates the number of tries you can make. This bar is divided into stars. Each attempt you make depletes the meter; go past any of the stars and you lose a star in your final rating. The highest star rating you can receive is 3 stars.

The game has 50 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten. Each time you replay a level, the letters are jumbled up at r We recommend replaying levels to increase your star level.

You earn points each time you finish a level. The number of points you earn depends on the length and number of words in the level.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The key to clearing the game is to find the right words in the right order. Often, this means forming the correct word using a specific set of letters. The game will alert you each time you select the wrong set of letter-blocks to form a correct word. To narrow down your search, consider how all the other words could form from the remaining letter-blocks.

If the letters are of different lengths, consider solving one before the others. Whether this should be the longest or shortest words will depend on which one you’ll find easier to guess.

The words in each level have a theme and are related to one another. This can help you guess what they are.

If you’re stumped, use the hint button on the bottom center of the game screen to reveal a letter. Be warned; each hint you use will cost 250 points.
