Nimble Ben Game Background

Nimble Ben is a simple platform evasion game. As the bunny Ben, escape the angry hedgehogs and collect as many coins as you can. Move through levels by collecting the target number of coins.

How to Play Nimble Ben

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.

On a desktop, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to control Ben. Select the up arrow key to jump and select the left and right arrow keys to move horizontally.

On a touchscreen device, tap on the buttons on the bottom row as you would with keyboard keys. The left and right arrows appear on the bottom left corner while the up arrow appears on the bottom right corner.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Your goal is to collect the target number of coins shown on the top right corner of the screen. Move toward the coins to pick them up. Upon collecting a coin, a new one appears elsewhere in the level. Collect the required number of coins to finish the level; currently, the game has 2 playable levels.

As you play, you summon enemy hedgehogs. Their arrival is indicated by the appearance of an exclamation point somewhere in the game screen. Do not let the enemy hedgehogs touch you. If you do, it’s game over. You can replay the game as many times as you want.

Each coin you earn is worth 1 point. Your web browser automatically saves your best score. Currently, the highest possible score in this game is 65.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The level wraps around itself. Use this to your advantage when evading ever-increasing herds of enemy hedgehogs. When the hedgehogs have you cornered, move to the edges and reappear on the opposite side, then move as far away from them as you can before they turn around.

Another thing that you can use to your advantage is herd behavior. Once enough of them are around, the hedgehogs would tend to move in a single direction (i.e. toward you). Gradually, they’ll tend to cluster together. You don’t need to worry about any of the others getting the drop on you until a new one appears.
